Kamal Ahmed (born 15 November 1967 in Ealing, London) is a British journalist, currently economics editor of BBC News. He was the business editor of BBC News from March 2014, until Simon Jack was appointed as his successor in February, 2016.

He was formerly the political editor of The Observer newspaper, business editor of The Sunday Telegraph newspaper and Director of Communications at the Equality and Human Rights Commission.
