New galleries preview at National Galleries of Scotland in Edinburgh, Scotland on 28 September 2023
The newly built galleries showcase the best historic Scottish art. Transforming the visitor experience and more than doubling the display space, 12 new galleries allow visitors to view dramatic landscapes and iconic art from 1800 to 1945 including works by Scottish artists such as William McTaggart, Anne Redpath, Phoebe Anna Traquair, Charles Rennie Mackintosh and the Glasgow Boys.
