Burst Water Main, Falkirk, 18 August 2024

Domestic water suuplies were disrupted in large areas of Falkirk from around 4pm on Saturday 17 August due to a burst 9 inch water main to the Hallgleen and Hillhead areas. The burst was not easily located in the heavily wooded area of Kilbean Wood but supplies were being restored by 8pm on Sunday 18 August.

The burst affected around 2,200 properties and some customers expeerienced a loss of normal supply, low water pressure, or discoloured water as a result of the burst.
