Biggar, South Lanarkshire, Scotland. The spectacular hogmanay bonfire in the town's High Street was set ablaze at 9.30pm on hogmanay watched by a crowd of several thousand. It is the biggest hogmanay bonfire in the country and a continuing tradition dating back hundreds of years. The fire was set alight by local resident Mrs. Dorothy Frame.
