City Centre West to East Link officially opened at Haymarket, Edinburgh, Scotland on 20 March 2024:

Minister for Active Travel Patrick Harvie MSP joined Edinburgh’s Transport and Environment Convener, Councillor Scott Arthur, community members and other stakeholders to celebrate the completion of CCWEL.

This high quality, safe and dedicated walking, wheeling and cycling route connects Roseburn to Leith Walk via Haymarket and the West End. The launch included a group ride involving pupils from local primary schools, which arrived in Haymarket to be welcomed by a performance by St Mary’s Music School pupils.
