One of the most iconic paintings in the world, which has never before been seen in Scotland, begins a flying visit to Edinburgh this week. The Goldfinch, a beautiful and mysterious masterpiece from the Golden Age of Dutch art, which was painted by Carel Fabritius in 1654, will be on loan to the Scottish National Gallery for six weeks from 4 November to 18 December.
