Royal Navy bomb disposal experts carried out a controlled explosion on a suspicious item found at the Forth & Clyde canal, near the Leisuredrome Leisure Centre in Bishopbriggs in East Dumbartonshire. The leisure centre had to be evacuated and roads around the canal were closed for several hours.
