A rare ice rainbow in the sky above the Firth of Lorne this evening. This phenomenon is known as a 'sundog' or Parhelion. A 'sundog' is formed as sunlight passes through ice crystals in the atmosphere which are usually present when thin, wispy cirrus clouds are gathering........
