Princess Royal visits Kirk of Calder, Thursday 25th May 2017

The Princess Royal visited Kirk of Calder in Mid Calder, Livingston today to accept a cheque on behalf of The Vine Trust.

The Princess Royal is presented with flowers by 11-year-olds Daisy Stewart and Robyn McKissock who had taken part in a sponsored bike ride for the charity.

£85,500 has been raised by members and organisations of the kirk to help fund an orphanage in Tanzania.

There was an increased police presence due to the recent Manchester bombing.
