Portobello community activists are celebrating having picked up the keys to a former church they have saved for the community, having secured huge community support and backing. Action Porty, the community organisation responsible, received the keys to the former Old Parish Church in Portobello. The building is the first community transfer secured under the extended Urban Community Right to Buy legislation, and was purchased with help from the Scottish Land Fund and the Resilient Scotland Fund.
