Installation as Governor of Edinburgh Castle: the dress rehearsal takes place for the ceremony which will be held tomorrow, two years after the handover of the position to Maj Gen Alastair Bruce of Crionaich. The ceremony was delayed due to Covid-19. The role of Governor is a historic one, dating back to 1067. Maj Gen Bruce is also a Sky News commentator. Representative form all Scottish military regiments are involved, in a ceremony that takes a new curtailed form only within the castle due to Covid restrictions.
