Memories of a Lullaby, Edinburgh 15 June 2016

Memories of a Lullaby - the need to remember and the wish to forget - is a one-woman show by Saras Feijoo about a true story growing up in Venezuela. It draws from multiple stories in order to reveal the constant tension between horror and beauty, desperation and hope. 

This piece explores how socio-political conditions shape us as individuals, while attempting to give a perspective on how reality differs greatly depending on where we are born and raised. 

This performance is a hard-hitting exposition of existence combining storytelling, physical theatre with visual art elements to give a full-on, yet tender performance by a performer with first-hand experience of the events she portrays. 

The show will be performed as part of Refugee Festival Scotland on 15 – 16 June at the Scottish Storytelling Centre, Edinburgh; 17 June at Borders Book Festival, Melrose; and Centre for Contemporary Arts, Glasgow on 18 June.
