Paolozzi Hand Picardy Place

One of the three sculptures that make up The Manuscript of Monte Cassino by Eduardo Paolozzi has been removed from its site on Edinburgh's Picardy Place to allow works on the new St James quarter.
Local residents have expressed concern that the sculpture won't return to the original site when the works have completed.
The work was commissioned by entrepreneur, Sir Tom Farmer and remembers the bombing during WW2 of the Monte Cassino monastery - close to the artists family home.
