Seal on the Beach at Portobello in Edinburgh, UK on 31 March 2024

An unexpected visitor joined the Easter Sunday crowds on Portobello Beach as a young seal plled out onto the sand. It seemed to be merely taking a rest and sunning itself but someone from the SSPCA came to check it out anyway. Apart from some minor scratches it seemed in good health and made its own way back out to sea.
