Pictured: As all such initiatives cost money, Donald Forrest, Head of Finance at West Lothian and David Wallace, Chief Executive of Social Security Scotland had lots to talk about.
Minister for Social Security Jeane Freeman visited The Bathgate Partnership Centre today to launch the first local jobs with Social Security Scotland.
Ms Freeman met with staff within this muti-functional community hub that is the type of venue where local social security staff will be based.
These are the first of, at least, 400 local jobs that will be created across Scotland. Social Security Scotland staff will be based in every local authority area to provide face-to-face support for people using the new social security system.
