  • PortobelloBeach this afternoon was dotted with sandcasltes as beachgoers took part in the annual Sandcastle compeition. The competition has been running for the past month, allowing people to socially distance, rather than all gathering on the same day, as happens in normal circumstances.

The winning design was created by young people from Macduff, Auchterarder, Barrhead, Kilmacolm and Edinburgh as a result of a nationwide Young Scot competition celebrating the Year of Young People.<br />
